Why You Should Hire a Blog Writer

Making the choice to hire a writer for your blog can be difficult. On the one hand, it’s your blog, your voice, your recommendations, and your audience. On the other, keeping up with all the aspects of running a blog as your full time job can be overwhelming. So what’s the solution? I know I’m biased, but a blog writer and blog manager is the answer. Let me share with you some simple reasons why you should hire a blog writer.

I Say Writer, But I Mean…

The truth is, a writer is more than a writer. We don’t just simply throw the words onto the page and hope for the best. No, we love words, so we take extra care with them and want to present them in the best light possible. And when we’re working for clients, that desire doubles. I might say blog writer, but what I really mean is: editor, manager, photo finder, formatter, social media helper, and communications right-hand man.

Why You Should Hire a Writer

1) We Wear Many Hats

In this way, we’re just like you! Your lifestyle blog requires you to be a business owner, communications expert, writer, editor, ad manager, content creator, and more. In the same way, blog writers don’t just write, we also take editor, communications, content, and planning (among other things) off your desk. The multiple jobs we tackle are necessary, but can be delegated to a fellow expert.

2) We Write Your Voice

It’s completely understandable that you would worry your voice would be lost if you hire a writer. However, writers are especially good at identifying tone, cadence, and patterns in people’s voices and copying them. Over the past several years, as I grew my writing business, I’ve found that I’ve become especially good at picking out the way people speak and finding it in their writing. More than that, I pride myself on being able to capture someone’s voice in what I write for them. It’s tricky, and takes some time to polish, but when you hire a writer, they are there for you and your blog and will work hard to ensure you’re not lost in the writing.

3) We Collaborate

Collaboration is incredibly important. To get that human voice, to create content your audience wants to read, and to ensure you stay an essential part of your blog, we must collaborate. As a writer, I want your input expertise. Without these, we cannot create well-rounded and interesting content. Though a writer will help with nearly every aspect of your blog, they still aren’t you, making collaboration a core of the writer-blogger relationship.

When To Hire a Blog Writer

The answer to this varies from blogger to blogger. Most bloggers start because they love to write. However, that love can start to fade week after week, or month after month of non-stop content. I want you to continue to love what you do, and hiring a writer might just help preserve your blog and help it grow.

Beginner bloggers might benefit from occasional help (offered by my One package) while experienced bloggers feeling the burnout are better suited to more extensive help (like something offered in my Four or Eight package).

In the end, the best time to hire a blog writer and manager is when you feel overwhelmed and see how it is affecting your content and consistency.
